Today the city of Liverpool becomes the catwalk of the world as models, fashion designer’s beauticians and bloggers flood the streets and selected venues to welcome British Style Collective 2017.
Let’s take a look at what fashion wonders we can expect over the next few days in Liverpool.
Five Fantastic Liverpool Venues
British Style Collective have decided to make the most of our stunning city centre and utilised four of our most fabulous venues for their events over the next few days.
Catwalks and Fashion Talks at St George’s Hall
Day one:
Starting bright and early at 10 am St George’s Hall will host the first of many catwalks showcasing the latest designer fashions followed by in-depth fashion discussions about the ins and outs of the fashion industry.
Catwalks, workshops and fashion talks continue throughout the day culminating in an amazing workshop about breaking into fashion blogging at 17:30 pm.
All this hosted on just the first day of British Style Collective in St George’s Hall.
Day two:
Early rise again for a day packed with designer discussions, hair how to’s and plenty more fashion creations strutting down the catwalks.
Not to mention celebrity appearances from fashion designer Henry Holland and reality star Jamie Laing, both giving insights on how they built their success’. Hollands fashion brand House of Holland and Laing’s own Candy Kitten’s. Both businessmen will share the hurdles and challenges they faced along the way and the highs and lows of creating your own business.
Day three:
More of your favourite reality stars are due to make appearances in Liverpool on the final day of British Style Collective. Expect to see the likes of MIC’s Lucy Watson and Alex Myton talking everything from beauty regimes to life in Chelsea.
Molly King from the Saturday’s will be breaking down her style secrets from her everyday looks to the stunning red-carpet moments we all know and love.
Queen of British heritage fashion Hilary Alexander will be capping of the British Style Collective in St Georges Hall with an engaging and insightful interview detailing her experiences in the fashion industry and how it has changed over the years.
You could really spend all weekend in St George’s Hall but wait there are still four other fabulous fashion locations to see all across Liverpool.
Creative Hub in the Baltic Quarter
Making use of Liverpool’s most popular alternative event and social venues, British Style Collective 2017 will be setting up “camp” for three days in the Baltic Triangle.
Here’s what to expect from the genius’ at Creative Hub;
Imagination rooms will take shape across Camp and Furnace and Constellations unique and creative spaces and will bring interested attendees insights into the inner workings of the fashion world.
Catch a glimpse of Graduate collections from Graduate Fashion Week 2017 as they are paraded down makeshift runways in the Furnace room of Camp and Furnace. After the show learn from top fashion insiders how such a catwalk show is organised and produced.
In the Camp side of Camp and Furnace, you can explore the future of fashion. Learn how technology has helped shape the accessibility of high fashion and will continue to influence fashion trends and the fashion landscape as it further develops over time.
Constellations rustic outdoor space will be transformed into an interactive art installation encouraging anyone and everyone to get involved in expressing their own interpretation of beauty.
Inside displays of upcycled furniture and an array of fabulous fabrics, new and old, will be set up to inspire the imaginations of fashion students. Each student will be invited to document the day and submit their findings for a chance to be named Young Journalist of the Year 2017.
Baltic Triangle is well known for people the hub of Liverpool’s creative culture. The spaces we are so fond of will be used educate and entertain fashion enthusiasts during British Style Collective 2017.
Shopping Halls in the Exhibition Centre
What would a city-wide fashion event be without an exhibition centre full of shops?
Bring your bags for life and get your wish lists at the ready as major brands in beauty and fashion pop up their shops inside Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre this weekend.
Pick up finds from well-known high street favourites such as River Island, Monsoon and Accessorize or discover new talent from up and coming fashion designers, artists and beauticians.

Full on Fashion from Alcatel at the Echo Arena
The producers of the Clothes Show Live have put together a spectacular show of everything from live music to fabulous fashion at the Echo Arena.
For an audience of up to 8,000 guests, this is a fashion extravaganza not to be missed.
There will be a host of engaging live performances from musicians and dance troupes and of course the latest summer trends will be strutting down the catwalk on pristinely styled models.
Take an hour out of shopping and exploring the city and get your seat on the #FROW to enjoy the show-stopping performances taking place in the Echo Arena this weekend.
Shows will be held twice a day for three days, so there plenty of time to get your fashion fix when the British Style Collective is in Liverpool this weekend.
Fined Tuned Fashion Festival at Albert Dock
A free fringe event of the British Style Collective is HemmingwayDesign’s Fine Tuned Festival. Here the city welcomes a collection of fashion designers, craftsmen and women, performers and vintage traders will take over Liverpool’s most historic landmark venue, Albert Dock.
For three years running designer, Wayne Hemmingway has collaborated with Albert Dock to bring a free fashion festival to Liverpool. This year the event has coincided nicely with British Style Collective 2017. Here’s what took place in previous years.
This two-day celebration of independent traders welcomes people of all ages to shop, browse and admire the smorgasbord of goods on display.
Vintage fashion and design influences today’s trends and will continue to inspire the future of fashion forever.
