A Guide to Shopping in Liverpool from Signature Living

At Signature Living, we recognise that our guests often come to our city to take advantage of the amazing shopping culture. Therefore, we’ve created a guide to Liverpool shopping districts to help everyone find the stores that stock their style.

If any group of people know how to follow their own fashion drums it’s Scousers, famous for developing signature styles and setting trends soon followed all over Britain.

Thanks to the support of our fabulously fashion-forward city, and its people, there are some amazing places to do your shopping in Liverpool.

The Best of Bold Street

One of the best places to go shopping in Liverpool is Bold Street.

Its ancient walkways are lined with everything from vintage shops, second-hand charity shops and high-end menswear fashion boutiques, not to mention some of the most amazing restaurants in the city.

Those seeking the most fabulous fashion from the past can pop into any of the Bold Street boutiques, each stocked with rails of rare apparel.

COW is where the cool kids shop for distressed denim, printed silk shirts and well-worn sneakers. If it’s vintage glam you are after, Pop Boutique will stock it in the form of sensational sequin jumpsuits and lots of shiny Lamés as far as the eye can see.

Check out this handy guide to the best Vintage Shops in Liverpool.

Grin, the latest vintage boutique to arrive on Bold Street, stocks a delightful mixture of retro fashion alongside an oasis of plant life and bohemian ponchos, dresses and accessories.

In Soho’s London, it’s Rock-a-billy 50s prom dresses and Dr Martens that fill the shelves from floor to ceiling. Then over the road at OXFAM spend some time shopping in Liverpool, digging through rails of 60s tea dresses and quality wool coats.

Now that the world is aware of sustainable fashion, why not consider doing some of your shopping in Liverpool in one of the second-hand charity shops on Bold Street.

Pay a visit to British Red Cross to see if you can find a treasure amongst someone else’s trash, or Bernardo’s Take 2 store where donated clothes are given a second chance. Do your part for charity whilst satisfying your fashion addiction.

For guys, Bold Street can suit you up or kit you out, with Moss Bros selling the sharpest tailored looks and Giancarlo Ricci stocking up on the latest branded fashions.

No matter what you’re looking for when shopping in Liverpool, you’ll be able to bag it on Bold Street.

Hottest of the High Street

One of the very best things about Liverpool is our central high street.

Always a hive of activity, Church Street is a permanent fashion catwalk, where a style spectrum passes by the windows of the country’s biggest high street stores all day every day.

Find yourself scanning the rails of River Island’s latest lines, or brave an expedition into Primark (if you dare), take on Topshop and Miss Selfridge to get your hands on the most must-have pieces of the moment or see what surprises M&S might have in store.

Or why not have a bash at the equivalent to fashion roulette in TK Maxx? Somedays you can come out with arm fulls of amazing discount designer gear, others you may just emerge with a candle.

At the bottom of Church Street, leading onto Lord Street, two giant names in the worldwide shopping game linger.

Forever 21 dominates the corner of Church Street, four floors filled with men’s and women’s fashion and a basement stocked full or sale rails and discount clobber. Then over to HnM’s new home as recently the two large existing HnM stores merged to become one superstore, where those shopping in Liverpool stock up on those beautiful basics and occasional designer collab.

If the high street style is your bag, you’ll love the ease of shopping in Liverpool.

Lovely Things From Liverpool One

Shopping in Liverpool has never been simpler when it’s all under one roof (so to speak).

Under the covered side of this super-stylish part of the city, shoppers will find the likes of ZARA, All Saints, Warehouse and Hollister all of which are split across two levels of retail heaven.

Both of Liverpool’s large department stores, Debenhams and John Lewis, give shoppers a massive variety of well-known brands to choose from too.

Cross the road to discover high-end names such as Flannels, Hugo Boss, Micheal Kors and Reiss, all of which can be found along School Lane and the walkways on St Peters Lane.

In between the two halves of Liverpool One’s covered outlets, you’ll find Paradise Street sandwiched in the middle, and what a shoppers’ paradise it is.

Here, a mixture of high street staples such as New Look and Urban Outfitters are muddled in with designer names like Guess and new sustainable label Arket.

When you go shopping in Liverpool One you could just as easily come home with a designer handbag as you could bags full of discounted sale goodies.

Must Have Met Quarter Designers

You’ll find all the most fabulous designer fashion at your fingertips in the Met Quarter.

Liverpool’s own Cricket relocated here from Cavern Walks alongside the very chic Kids Cavern boutique. Both have oodles of top brand designer labels for Liverpool shoppers to spend their hard earned on.

Other shops include Smudge Boutique, a store selling some of the more unique designer names as well as up and coming lines from cutting edge newcomers to the fashion world.

You’ll find no highstreet brands stocked in the stores of the Met Quarter, just top end toggs for the fashionistas who like to spend.
