The people’s festival returns to Liverpool this weekend and its set to be the best one yet.
What is it?
Liverpool Loves is a festival which aims to celebrate the very best of our cities culture, heritage and amazing community as well as our diverse selection of food and drink.
The celebration lasts an impressive four days and focuses on four key areas; business, culture, food and wellbeing as well as promoting local, independent businesses.
Thousands of revellers are expected to ascend upon Pier Head for the event which last year attracted
Liverpool Loves takes place on the majestic Pier Head and is situated right in front of the stunning Three Graces, making it the perfect backdrop for an event which celebrates the city so much.
When is it?
Liverpool Loves started on Thursday 4th August and is on until the 7th with a different focus for each day. The first day of the event had a distinct focus on bringing larger and smaller companies together for the better of the local comminute. Over the weekend, there will be more emphasis on the cities culture and it’s the perfect excuse to let your hair down and explore the best of Liverpool.
Who will be there?
As an event which celebrates the city so much, it’s no surprise that the line-up is nothing short of impressive.
There will be four stages with a plethora of amazing acts including The Hummingbirds, Deliah, Cheap Thrills and Halem to name a few. There will furthermore be a Liverpool Disco and Culture Box which will feature special guest DJ’s through the day on Saturday.
Food & Drink
As with all of Liverpool’s festivals and events, you’ll have an incredible selection of independent eateries to choose from. From Del Trotter’s Hog Roast, Hardy’s Kitchen with fresh BBQ dishes and snacks, Rockin’ Food will be serving up a selection of specialist flatbreads with a unique Italian and Greek twist. Liverpool favourites Cheshire Farm Ice Cream will be on hand to satisfy our sweet spot after all of that dancing.
If you’re looking for a tipple in the sun, then you’ll be pleased to know that The Boston Shakers have made their way to the Pier Head. The talented mixologists will be at Liverpool Loves all weekend so make sure you head to the tent to quench your thirst in what’s hoped to be another sunny weekend.
There will furthermore be a whole host of actives and stalls across the weekend which we guarantee you won’t want to miss.
