Summer is here and there’s no better place to celebrate than the most hotly anticipated music festival in Liverpool; LIMF and Signature Living have just introduced the most amazing party hotel rooms Liverpool has seen yet. All of which are ideal for some post-festival celebrations.
So get your hands in the air for DJ extraordinaire Example and the chart-topping tunes of English rap star Wiley plus many more stars due to rock the stages at this year’s LIMF.
Ones To Watch At LIMF
As always LIMF will be hosting some of the biggest and brightest stars on the music scene today as well as some old favourites and up and coming talent. Here are the ones we’ve pegged to watch for this years LIMF and when and where you can see them during the festival.
Saturday
Of course, DJ Example will be bringing in the crowds with new and old chart-topping tunes along with his musical partner in crime DJ Wire, both taking to the Central Stage at 18:00 pm on Saturday.
There will also be some top quality acts that have been pulled from the Merseyside musical talent pool such as Zuzu.
A gifted Liverpool-born frontwoman leads the talented young band, whose influences include The Beatles and Beach Boys and nineties American indie groups like Bright Eyes and Pavement. This must see act will be taking to the ItsLiverpool Next Gen stage at 18:20 pm.
Be there to enjoy their clever combination of pop and rock which is both mesmerising and memorable, Zuzu is definitely one to watch at LIMF 2018.
Other amazing Merseyside artists include The Vryll Society who have been entertaining festival crowds for years with their psychedelic sound. This year they’ll be bringing a quirky a pop edge to their work and its sure to stick in your mind for days after seeing them perform.
Head to the ItsLiverpool Next Gen Stage at 19:55 pm to catch Vryll Society.
Red Rum Club and Luna are two other awesome acts that are making their marks on the Merseyside music scene and will be gracing Saturday’s audiences with their presence on the ItsLverpool Next Gen stage from 14:50 pm – 15:30 pm.
Red Rum Club is already a well-established band among the music lovers of Liverpool and the band have a sound that wouldn’t be out of place on a Quinten Tarantino cult movie soundtrack.
Luna’s vocals are akin to those of the legendary Kate Bush, with a modern-day electro-edge, and she is fixing to set the UK music scene alight with her aptly named single Fire.
Sunday
A Basement Jaxx DJ set will certainly spin some quality sounds on Sunday at 18:10 pm on the Central Stage, but there’s plenty more to see before these superstars arrive at LIMF.
Someone to watch that you might not have heard of on Sunday is gifted RnB singer-songwriter Remée .
A soulful singer who pens her own intoxicating lyrics and simply loves to perform in Liverpool. She’s already experienced an amazing reception at this years Africa Oyé and even went on to perform a secret gig in the city afterwards, she simply can’t get enough of the Liverpool audiences.
Catch Remée on the central stage from 12:45 pm as she appears alongside other enchanting performances from the LIMF Academy including Mary Miller with her distinctly dark and gothic sound or the easy listening soulful, jazz vocals of Gazelle.
Sunday’s sets at LIMF are a smorgasbord of up and coming talents each with their own stand out sounds that bring something new and unique to the music industry. Each new act is what makes LIMF the best UK festival to discover the next big things in music.
