Try and Find All of the Lambananas
The first Lambanana was created by a Japanese artist to symbolise the dangers of genetic modification.
Later when local Liverpool artists adopted the design, connections were made to Liverpool’s maritime past as popular cargo brought through the cities ports was made up mostly of sheep and bananas.
Ten years ago, for Capital of Culture, 125 individual Lambananas were made and dotted around the city each sponsored by local businesses and designed by community members.

Marvel at The Feast of Fire
Based on the North West European tradition of lighting bonfires over Easter, the Feast of Fire promises to set imaginations alight with an atmospheric feast for the senses.
Perfect for entertaining the kids, visitors can expect fire-fulled scultural installations, live performances, delicious flaming food and drink, plus some amazing dances.
This amazing festival will be taking place over the Easter weekend in St John’s Gardens.
Enjoy the Formby Squirrel Walk
One of the best things to do around Liverpool during half term is take a trip to the beautiful woodlands surrounding Formby and discover the Red Squirrel Walk.
You can follow this well signposted trail and look out for the growing population of red squirrels foraging. This walk usually takes around an hour, but if you’d prefer to extend it, there are plenty of routes that will take you further afield.
Don’t forget to climb up the dunes for superb views over Liverpool Bay, Snowdonia and the Lake District.
Watch Some Theatre
If you fancy making this half term an all-singing, all-dancing affair, this is the perfect way to do so.
One of the UK’s favourite productions, Wicked transports audiences to the stunningly re-imagined world of Oz in a breathtaking magical spectacle.

Arts and Crafts Afternoons
Lots of the Museums are hosting fun, family friendly arts and crafts afternoons over the half term holiday.
The Merseyside Maritime Museum are putting on an Easter rummage, where you and your family can embark on a search of the ship and keep an eye out for signs of smuggling!
If that wasn’t enough, the Walker Art Gallery are also inviting children to a fantastic Easter Arts and Craft afternoon, where youngsters will have the chance to get creative and make some Easter themed gifts.
Attend the Easter Break Prototype Camp
A three day camp that offers young people a range of digital and creative skills, the Easter Break Prototype Camp is a fun creative workshop that will have your kid’s brains bursting with new knowledge.
At the camp, they will learn about designing and prototyping, while creating a game in which you can play as anything, inspired by David Reilley’s game Everything.

Go on an Easter Egg Hunt
This half term, Speke Hall are hosting an amazing Cadbury Egg Hunt in the stunning gardens and estate grounds.
